It’s always nice to find little things in used books: They use this program to create the “connections” which inspire their Plan. It isn’t a mystery ecoo a conspiracy theory; it’s a mystery that looks into the effects of conspiracy theories on otherwise rational, scholarly people. Dopo un lungo quanto vergognoso digiuno letterario, decido che ho voglia di leggere un libro serio: It’s impossible to tell how much, if any, of the events that occur are true. In uno dei cablogrammi rilasciati da Wikileaks non ricordo esattamente quale v’era scritto che gli italiani sono un popolo con una tendenza un po’ paranoide di vedere complotti e poteri forti nascosti un po’ dappertutto.
All the important things will be explained. Eco does so, however, from a much more critical perspective; Foucault is more a satire on the futility of conspiracy theories and those who believe them, rather than an attempt to proliferate such beliefs. Too bad the author didn’t set it free. The best and the worst thing I can say about this novel is that it’s a difficult read.

Deep down, I knew they desired what this book had to offer: I loved this page book. Let’s imagine that the Earth isn’t tilted off its axis. It superimposes modern technology with ancient foucaultscue, philosophical, and scientific ideas, showing them as links in a centuries-long catena of concepts, but that connection eventually becomes uneven and turns the plot into an endless succession foucaulstche medieval concepts, secret societies, and ancient texts that begin to sound interchangeable and lose all narrative impact.
When Diotallevi is diagnosed with cancer, he attributes this to his participation in The Plan.
